How to open the plastic bottle cap of a glass bottle

There are three ways to open it.

1. Use a wrung out wet towel to hold the bottle and cap separately to increase friction, some of which can be easily unscrewed.

2. If it doesn't work, heat the lid in boiling water or grill it over fire to soften and expand. With a gentle twist, it will open.

3. If it is a metal cover, in addition to the above methods, you can also use a flat screwdriver to pry the cover with moderate force. The metal has ductility and is easy to pry loose. If it becomes loose, it can be easily loosened with just a gentle twist.

First move: "Hot break style". Soak the jar in a pot and heat it with 80 degrees Celsius water for half a minute (note that the heating time should not be too long), or pour hot water on the bottle cap for a few minutes, then forcefully pull out the cap to open it.

The second move: "Side tapping and side tapping". After tilting the glass bottle at a 45 degree angle, grip the bottle tightly, tap the bottom of the jar, and the lid will open. The principle is to give an impulse to the jar, and the bottle body is stationary, while the bottle cap part will continue to move due to inertia, in the direction of detachment from the bottle cap, causing it to loosen. On the other hand, due to the long sealing time of the jar, it is difficult to remove it due to intermolecular forces, and knocking the bottle cap also has the effect of breaking this intermolecular force.

The third move: "Breaking Knife Style" or "Breaking Spoon Style". Using sharp tools such as metal knives or spoons, chopsticks, keys, etc., locate the gap between the glass jar and the lid, and pry the bottle cap along the edge of the bottle mouth glass, similar to opening a beer bottle cap. Before prying, wrap it with a tissue to increase the friction coefficient.
